WriterMate is not a list of popular titles. The charts are only raw material; what the service actually handles is how those charts differ week to week.

Figures always carry their basis. A share states how many titles out of how many; a change states which week it is measured against.

Methodology

Once a week. Weeks are divided on Monday in Korea Standard Time, and each week's analysis appears automatically once collection finishes.

Changes need two weeks, streaks need three, and long-run trajectories accumulate up to 12 weeks. The basis thickens as weeks build up.

To avoid overstating, here is what this service cannot answer.

• It does not handle absolute figures such as revenue or view counts. Public charts do not carry them.
• It does not compare market size across countries. Ranking criteria differ, so the comparison would not hold.
• It does not predict that “using this trope will succeed”. Observed change and its interpretation is the whole scope.
• It does not judge how good or enjoyable an individual title is.
